Answer #5 for Brian

As is your habit, Brian, you ask interesting questions. The short answer is that I am sure that I will be happy that I am in Heaven in presence of my savior. Whether or not you personally will be "roasting on spits over an open flame", and whether or not that bit of information specifically is going to make me happy, I don't think that the joy of Heaven will be based on your personal suffering.

Rev 21 says this:
And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning nor crying nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away."

In that, I think it's clear that there will be no mourning for what has come before. "No mourning", however, does not equal "makes me happy".

What is most important to realize, I think, is that whatever it is you believe and want to advocate right now, it's not too late to reconsider. As a Calvinist, Brian, there is one thing I am sure of: God saves those who do not deserve to be saved. God saves murderers. God saves adulterers. God saves hypocrites like me, and God saves atheists like I have been -- like you are. I am sure you have heard it before, but I want you to know for certain that God has made Jesus both Lord and Christ -- this Jesus who you say has never been. Today is a new day, a good day to turn away from sin and toward the Savior. Turn away from your mistakes and your work, Brian, to someone who will save you.
